Macro with new macro lens - PhotoCamel

I just purchased the Canon 100MM macro and this is a photo from my first test shoot with it. The statue is called a red head and was made by the same company that makes hummels. The red heads are no longer made and this particular one is one of the harder ones to locate.

I can definitely see the resemblence in style to the hummels.

Congratulations on the new lens! A nice 1st offering. You may want to get a piece of poster board or something to give you a solid background for these macro shots.

Thanks. I was just testing the lens and seeing how the Bokah would be. I usually will use a solid background for product shots.

The lens is very sharp but I think my 100 - 400L IS is a bit sharper.
