Hi, I have been away for a while, busy nights. But I finally managed some time for my photos again. I got these little extension lenses which create a macro effect and was experimenting with them on the only subject I had at the time... nothing spectacular but I would still appreciate some C&C.
Does this picture "do anything" for anybody? Or just boring? __________________

I am ordering some extension tubes myself to give macro a try myself. I kow I will have a lot to learn. I like your first effoert. It does look a bit dark to me. I guess lirhting will take on a whole new challange with macro.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Macro!
![]() This is an excellent first image with your new macro tubes (which ones did you get?). Your fix up is definitely the better of the two. Composition could be a bit stronger with the opening of you flower more off centered. Macro brings a lot of new challenges (lighting, dof, etc) - it's easy to overlook composition with all the other things to think of. ![]() Keep capturing the macro world and share some more with us. ![]() |

I got some extensions from Ebay - will have to check what they are when I find them in the aftermath of my Christmas (if you know what I mean). They are like little filters that you screw on top of the lense but they are magnifiers of different intensities. Was the best for my price range at the moment.
You are right, so much going on with macro and positioning and everything... I will give it some more drilling, thanks for the encouragement! |

Yes, I know exactly what you mean! My living room is still in a state of Christmas "aftermath". lol
![]() Sounds like perhaps you got a set of diopters (glass magnifying filters) rather than a set of tubes (no glass). Both are an excellent way to step into the world of macro. Again, looking forward to what you come up with next. ![]() |
