Thanks all for the comments

dsidote. After shooting the dragon for quite a period and getting closer and closer, the dragon was fairly used to me being near it. Having got the photos I wanted I tried a couple of times putting my finger near the dragons head but it spooked each time so I after spooking it again I simply held my finger up just above where the dragon had been returning to and the dragon landed on my finger instead of it's perch.
