Was lost as to where to post these two pics, but since I used the 100 macro lens I thought this is the appropriate place. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I usually don't like super-thin-DOF shots of inanimate objects, but I like the first one. The second one also works, but it's closer-up and the thin DOF is expected.
Keep it up. =) |

Did you do that by candlelight? You've got an excellent tripod! That's for sure. |

Yup, those numbers are correct. It took so long for some of the pics to capture that I went for a smoke while the aperture was up. I did, literally.
Here is a little background about those pics. |

Thanks MW. So glad you liked them, and appreciate your comment.
RS, it was all au natural. I choose a west window at near sunset time and a wooden table to accentuate the golden colors. Hope it worked. |

Seems a little counter-productive. With good (= sufficient) light (tent? diffuser(s)? softboxes? reflector(s)?) you would have full control of the DoF, no camera shake, and no colorshift (due to long exposures). You can control the white balance in-camera, or with optical filters, or with gels on the strobe(s), and/or in PP. And/or all of the aforementioned. Especially if you shoot RAW. You wouldn't have needed to make 60 exposures to get 1 or 2 usable ones, as you said you did. |

Very nicely done. Really like the second one where the DoF works very well in highlighting the pearls.
