Yes! Macro is addicting.

Keep in mind that in MF, the focus point means nothing.

Personally, I find that live view is not the best for MF/macro. I think you can see the focus much better thru the viewfinder. In fact the only time I use LV is when the camera is tethered to a computer.

Thanks for the input. I'll take a look again at live view vs the viewfinder. My first reaction was the 10x function of live view was an assist.

It's possible that it is better for you - different strokes. If you are shooting indoors w/tripod, I can see it but if you are dealing with wind and/or moving the camera to focus as Brian suggested, the slow reaction of LV can be frustrating - for me anyway.
