You might try using an eye dropper with clear Karo syrupZ. It's sticky and adheres well. It might bring in a honeybee as well and you would have a whole new subject to shoot.

Thanks for the tip, don't know if I can get it here in the UK but I'll certainly be on the lookout for something similar.
