Got home from work in the a.m. . Saw the dewdrops on my strawberry leaves and decided to try and photograph them.... Then it kinda snowballed and I got carried away .

The first - very cool. The second - a hairy tongue? Gross

Meant to add that the camera is Fuji s5000z with +6 close-up filters, hand held.
Yes, that is a hairy tongue. It belongs to my dog, Trooper. When I took a shot of it, it was done in haste and I didn't think it would turn out. When I put it up on the monitor, I was surprised that it was clearer than I thought, and then noticed the hair and went yuck! :-X. Still, I think it's an interesting photo .

The picture of the tongue is gross, LOL. But I must admit, the reflection of the background in the animal's eye is just stunning. I'm curious to know how you were able to keep both the camera and the eye so steady.

Hi Marlon,
I like the reflections in the eye also. It was hard to keep my dogs head steady. He didn't like having a big "eye" stare at him, lol. If you look in the lower left of the reflection, you'll see a light-ish (is that a word?) blob/spot. That's my hand holding his nose to keep his face still, lol. I also had my camera arm resting on my right knee. I checked the exif on that photo and the shutter speed was 1/52 sec. Considering that I have a tendency to have shakey hands, I surprised it came out so well, .
