It is a great shot. I love it. I like the blue background, the droplet is clear and in focus and the reflection is pleasing. I think that keeping the background free of clutter and the light reflection in the droplet draws the eye nicely.
A great capture. Thanks for sharing. You might get a very different feel to this if it was in B&W. Might be worth the play. |

Thanks for the input. I tried the B&W, but it doesn't really play well. I think this image needs the blue or else it loses impact.

I like the colour and sharpness too, but the angle the drop is hanging at nags me. Water droplets hang vertically, don't they?

I actually did straighten it, and any dynamic quality to the composition was instantly lost. That uncomfortable angle is the only reason it works I think. Thanks for the input.

Camel Breath
|
Great colours and form but the main icicle bothers me - being OOF with a lot of highlights which tend to draw the eye away from the droplet.
