Default A Dahlia.

My first ever Dahlia, opened today. I'm not much of a gardener but we've had a pretty good show this year but this is the first Dahlia I've managed to grow.

Thanks, the background is actually a dark purple sheet that I placed over some flowers and a low wooden fence behind the dahlia to remove distractions.

Great shot. Definitely like the idea of the dark background.

From what I understand, getting them to grow once isn't the problem...which is why I will never grow them, after season I could never save them properly. So, you took a beautiful photo to remember her by!
