I just grabbed my camera out of its bag, set the mode to [M], Set the SS to 1/250, set the flash to [M]1/1 and pressed the button. Set the SS to 1/200 and pressed the button again. Wherever the aperture and anything else were, I didn't touch 'em !!! PP consisted of resizing and saving. EXIF info intact. Hope this helps, Austen. EDIT: The files on my Desktop DO have the EXIF info, here they don't !! How has the 'Camel stripped the EXIF info ![]() __________________

I would guess that this unit has no effect whatever on the maximum sync speed of normal flash exposures. That will depend on your camera. Most digitals max out at 1/250 sec. unless you use high speed flash mode. No clue how this unit functions with high speed flash mode.

I broke down and got the 602 with 4 receivers. I also picked up a couple of ball mounts for light stands and tripods.

Received my set yesterday - worked perfectly with my 580ex ii and xsi (450d). Popped in the included batteries (a real bonus) and started shooting. I think these are a great alternative for pw's for the hobbiest and cheap as chips.

Bought mine and fired a flash at one end my house bottom floor whilst I went to the other end of the house upstairs - worked like a charm.
Here's a picture I took with them - SB900 onto TX unit set to manual power at 1/8th. Flash inserted into a Lastolite Ezybox and about a foot behind me - I think it came out nicely. PP was NEF to NX2 converted from my UniWB wb setting then to b&w then converted to jpeg, that's all - hope you like ![]() |

Hello to all,
Today I try my new Yonguo RF602 they are the 2,4 GHZ type. Well I was curious how good they are so I put my flash in the hallway walk down the stairs in to my sleeping room close the door. So now we have a concrete floor whit a lot of steel in it closed door between the flash and the trigger and yes it worked. I make it harder put my arm with trigger around the corner of the shower and it still triggers my flash. So far I tested it no missing shots only thing I found out I wash one studio flash cable short so I order this today. For this price it’s word the try. Best regards, Marc de Jong |

I just got mine in a few days ago. I used them for a couple of shoots over the weekend. They performed flawlessly. Much better than the speedotron radio triggers they are replacing.
Used with the D300, SB-900, SB-600 and Impact Monolight Kit. I also, connected the receiver up to the D300s and used it as a remote trigger. I'm very happy with the purchase. I picked up 3 hot shoe receivers and one transmitter for $77 with free shipping. The delivery time from ebay seller Yongnuo was about 2 weeks. I have no complaints about the build quality. I sometimes rent pocket wizards and it seems like the build quality is as good as the pocket wizards. The range was more than I think I will ever need. Everything synced fine at 1/250. |

I only have one problem with this system this week.
After I tested the system I left the battery in the transmitter. Well the transmitter doesn’t have a button for on and off. To my surprise I get a lot of noise on my DEC telephone the next day. Later I found out that the transmitter get active when I make a phone call he make 3 pulses witch give a lot of noise on the line than it stops. I removed the battery and problem solved. When I have time I go look if I can make a switch between the battery. Best regards, Marc de Jong |

Thanks Marc, I was wondering why my phone was crackling. I've removed the battery from the transmitter now and everything is much clearer.

[QUOTE=PRetouche-NL;873452]I only have one problem with this system this week.

Very, very interesting ! The transmitter does not have a switch because it turns on only when you press the button either on the transmitter of in the camera. Rest of the time the power is cut off. Otherwise the transmitter battery would deplete in matter of days. Most transmitters works like this either it is your car or garage opener or a photo wireless trigger. Now what you say is in theory impossible. I admit that there is something that I do not know though. Producing a radio noise requires a lot of power so your battery would not stay long. Could be a coincidence that some ambient noise would go away just at the time when you start looking into the device ? |

I purchased the Yongno 602's with a bit of caution and so far the are working great for Christmas season family shots. They appear to be built well and have a solid feel. Time will tell though how they hold up under heavy use. The remote trigger works well too. Half pressing the transmitter will focus the lens for the shot.
A bit of information. I used a male to male 12" pc cable and hooked up the transmitter to the pc terminal of the camera and put a 580 EXll on the hot shoe in ETTL. The transmitter fires the remote flashes when the 580 fires for the actual shot and not with the preflash. Have a good one. Stephen |

There is some confusion on their website on which model RF-602 works with what camera. Is anyone using one with with a Nikon D40?
UPDATE! I managed to find the answer to my own question - the RF-602TX's are all basically the same - the difference is the supplied cables/connectors for cameras that will support the remote shutter release option. The Nikon D40 only has an Infra Red remote shutter capability, not hard-wired, so basically you should get an RF-602 that will support the camera you have, or one you might get in the future. |

Yes, but Radio Poppesr have the same deficiency as Poket Wizards, although in the smaller extents: They are way more expensive than RF-602 - we are talking about 500% difference. If you stil want Radion Poppers $70 you paid for your current setup wont make any big difference. Plus you can use them as a backup.
