Default Where to get an inexpensive light meter

Does anyone know where I could find an inexpensive light meter that is still a fairly good one? I'm hoping to find one for under $100 if possible.

From your other post I assume you mean a FLASH meter, right?

This one is a little more than the hundred bucks you mentioned but it's a decent meter for the money. I've been using mine for several years.

Yes, guess I should have said that. This is just a hobby and I didn't really want to spend a few hundred on a meter.

Thanks, I've been watching ebay. So maybe I'll get lucky. I did miss one minolta that went for $47. But maybe I'll find another.

But I guess for my budget, used will be my only choice.

Different reply - buy the best you can afford. I'm still using a Weston from the 60's for incident reading, a Gossen Lunixsex for refelected readings, and a Calument for flash.

The newest meter is 10 yrs old, and all work infine in their applications

Although far from ideal, when I started, I shot a few frames and checked the histogram on the camera, get an idea of the exposure. The only reason I say that is that if you buy a 'cheap' flashmeter, you'll only end up buying a better one later anyway, so make do with what your camera can do for now(it's a got a decent LIGHTmeter anyway) and save up to buy a flashmeter that can do everything you want it to do.

I think that is very good advice. Besides, it's only a hobby so if I have to take several shots and review them before I take the final shots, no big deal.

Thanks everyone for the advice.
