Benji's Portrait and Lighting Workshop

My annual lighting and posing workshop will be held on Saturday March 8, 2008 at my downtown photography studio located at 109 North Main Street Bluffton, Indiana. The workshop begins at 9:00 A.M. and ends at 6:00 P.M. Lunch is included. Your investment is only $189.00 per photographer. Class size is limited to the first eight. Bring your camera and your questions. Meet your fellow Photocamel buddies. Lots of fun and fellowship. A free CD of all the images will also be presented to each attendee. We will cover the following:
1. Getting correct exposure every time.
2. Getting correct white balance every time.
3. Lighting with one light and a reflector.
4. Lighting with two or more lights.
5. Posing problems and how to handle them.
6. Building rapport with the subject.
7. Things to watch for while shooting.
8. Demonstration of many of the rules in portraiture.

We will photograph a senior girl, a senior guy, a bride and the romantic couple.

We are located 20 minutes south of the Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA).

My family's roots go way back into the Pittsburgh area. My grandfather was born in Florence, PA, his dad in Natrona Heights, PA, my uncle lived on Neville Island all his life. Most of my family lives in Weirton/Colliers/Wellsburg, WV.

I'm sure you would get takers in major metropolitan areas all over the country.

I had a video shot of my workshop that I held five or six years ago but is was awful. People walking in front of the camera, people talking too loud, bad lighting for the video. I said never again.

Having tried video production on a hobby level 'just a little' I can well appreciate your reluctance. But I have to tell ya that about 10 years ago I started collecting info for an item I sell as a simple CD on ebay (no video) that is laid out as if it were a website.
I sell it cheap and have sold a bunch. And it always seems like easy money (bonus money). Might be worth the effort over the long haul.

I found out in short order that I'm no director/producer/actor or any a them other things one must be to put it all together... oh and I aint no sound man either
