Default PW & Flash question
I am having trouble trying to do some remote triggering with my pocket wizards.
I have a Canon 430ex on a pc to hot-shoe adapter. Then I connect the pocket wizard to the adapter on the flash port of the pocket wizard. I put the pocket wizard on my 5d but for some reason no flash comes out. I do realize I will have to go manual but I cannot get it to trigger.

I also have a vivitar 285 hv but I need to get another cable to connect it to my pocket wizard. Any advice will help. Thanks

It may seem silly, but whenever I run into that it seems that I've missed something

1- make sure both PW are on the same channel
2- Make sure PW are seated properly
3- Make sure both are turned on (I can't tell you how many times I've left one off...) LOL
4- Check the cables to make sure they aren't loose...it could be the pc to hot shoe adapter if it's not making the connection properly in the port.

My issues with the pocket wizards almost always come down to low or dead batteries. Replace all batteries and see whether that helps.

Holly Enterprises makes a metal foot for the Vivitar 283 and 285. It then provides an A/C blade type sync cord. Then you get a miniphone to AC cord and you are good to go.

I actually ordered a special cable that will connect the vivitar directly to the pocket wizard.

These are brand new batteries. I found a hotshoe online that may work with it so I'll post back :]
