I broke the flash sync cord mount where it mounts to a flash bracket. I have been on the lookout for something built a bit better than Canon's Plastic one. I found this one from Adorama. (see link below) I called them to find out if the bracket mount was metal as it looks like it in the photo. They had no clue. He thought they only carried the Canon brand.
Has anyone used this or any other third party cord that is built a bit better![]() The Link: RS0435P Adorama Off-Camera eTTL2 Coiled Flash Cord (3-Ft Max) for All Canon EOS Cameras (Except RT & 630) __________________

Thank you John,
I tried to manufacture something similar to that out of a piece of sheet metal Saturday, but could only find the 1/4 inch screws in 1/2 inch length. I tried to cut them down but didn't have the proper tools for the 1/4 inch threads. Needless to say, I ended up stripping the plastic out. It was worth the try and I figured I would get it right the second time. I ordered two more Canon cords (1 for backup) earlier and just place the order for two of those metal pieces you recommended. Thanks for the help. __________________
