Default NIKON RC-1 UNIT

Just picked up one of these complete with a SB 800-- trying to improve my close up work-- anyone with a few hints on use?? I do a lot of close-up stuff with firearms, knives etc. Hope this will help with the D 80 ??

I'm pretty sure you can control the RC-1 unit with the D80's pop-up flash. I don't think you need the SB-800 unless you're trying to add another light source to the mix.
