Default PocketWizard Plus III compatible with Plus II

How do you make your PocketWizard Plus III compatible with your Plus II or TT5?

Pocketwizard III has 4 zones and over 30 channels unlike Plus II and TT5....

How do you synchronizate them?

Thanks!

I believe the channels are consistent model-to-model. Isn't channel 1 the same whether you've got 4 channels, 16 or 30? So far as zone settings go, don't you set the them by channels? No help with zones. I think PW has done a good job with keeping their legacy equipment compatible as possible with the latest.

One can always count on backwards compatibility with all PW products... but that doesn't mean that ALL features will work across models.

You want to trigger your Plus IIs and Plus III's from a MiniTT1? Child's play... set them all to channel 1, or 2, or 3, or 4. Make sure the MiniTT1 is configured to transmit on the same channel.

- Because Plus II's are the "oldest" and therefore the lowest common denominator, do not expect them to react to the Plus III's ability to control zones, or recognize commands sent on any channel above channel 4.

- Because Plus II's are the "oldest" and therefore the lowest common denominator, do not expect them to react to *anything* related to ControlTL.

- Because Plus III's are newer, one can turn off or turn on zones, but there is no remote power control, that is the realm of the ControlTL units exclusively.

- The ControlTL units are the top of the line, they do the most on the most channels like TTL, remote power control, SpeedCycler, adjustable HyperSync, and on and on.

What exactly are you trying to use as a trigger and what exactly are you trying to use as a receiver and what are your lighting goals?
