Default Re: School Photos: How do you frame for easy to work with images?

The advice you have received here us A-1- top drawer! The more direct contact you have with clients after the sitting, the better your sales will be. When I did local high schools in NYC, when the proofs were ready, we had 'Pick Your Pictures Days. The grads would come in, sometimes with their parents and we had 6 staff members there to do the sales. The sales were out of this world because we gave our customers sound professional advice. We explained that custom print and retouching will further improve the images and were able to suggest all of our various packages. We would work with the clients and make sure they were pleased and where required, we could create special packages to accommodate special requirements.

Sounds like lots of work but the sales were impressive! It still works for me nowadays I do not do volume work and if I do an entire senior call we are only talking no more that 200 kids.

With tons of seniors, this may be impossible but the more direct contact, the more volume and profits. My policy has always been, with schools, was to create a long term customers by furnishing quality personalized service and images. The sitting fee or basic package fee was always paid on picture day.
