Default norman packs and heads

I am on Ebay looking for an Norman 800 pack and see different models p800d, 800, 800d.
Is there a place to compare the differences? Also would like to know which heads fit which style packs.
Many thanks!

Actually those are all probably the p800d. It uses LH2000 or LH2400 heads. It is an older commercial flash unit. It will put 800ws to one head, or divide it to up to 4 heads. Be aware that it has high voltage sync. The p2000 is the higher power version of this. They are fairly old.

The p808m is a portrait pack that puts 400ws to each of 2 heads or 200ws to 4 heads. It uses the LH500 heads. It is more modern and has low voltage sync. There is a current model still available that will put 800ws to a LH500+ head. I have one of these. There is also a 1200ws version. As far as I can determine the only radio sync that will work with this pack is the Pocket Wizard. Some of these have the TLC interface and only work with 3 heads, the interface can be turned off and they will then work with 4 heads.
