LMAO... you are so right. I worked October 2007 through January 2008 in Bothell, WA, and saw blue sky a total of 3 days while there.

Hhahahah, but overcast days are the PERFECT time to shoot waterfalls. 1/2hr later, as I was driving home, all of the falls were totally blown out by the sun.

I'm from Eugene, Oregon and we do get just a little more sunshine down here.
If you'd like to see a couple nice days check out my photo blogs as they have some nice fall colors and waterfalls:

What a lovely place to be and you have captured the ambient colour beautifully.
Having visited IL in October 3 yrs ago I know just how glorious is your autumn.

The site looks excellent, for me the big rock in the middle dominates a little too much drawing away from the falls.

Absolutely. Route 101 through Hoodsport, Wa. Take the Lake Cushman exit. Once you hit the dirt road, it's a couple of miles on the right. Don't bring a nice car, haha. Lots of potholes. During the rainy season, there are literally waterfalls every 20 feet along the dirt road!

Thanks for the directions....a bit far from Connecticut, but a future "destination" to visit and shoot. Thank you!

If you start driving today...

My hot tub is mighty inviting, and the meadow still has deer and bear and raccoon in it.
