I caught a nice sunset in Acadia National Park this Summer. Here's one from the cliffs below the Bass Harbor lighthouse.

This is one of those photos that confirms the old saying about being there at the right place at the right time. Absolutely perfect capture. Is there a hint of some tone mapping in this? The rocks seem pretty well exposed for the sun in that direction.

Actually, I shot this using a 6 stop split neutral density filter tilted at an angle. That's how I was able to expose for the rocks and not get blown-out shooting directly into the sun.
