the first suggestion is to start your own threads with your pictures. It's usually considered bad form to hijack someone else's thread with showing your own pictures, except if you want to illustrate a point (eg. If you improve this, the result will look like that in my image). The other exception are naturally threads created specially for people to show images to a certain theme, they're usually called challenges. The next suggestion is to compare your image with similar images created by others. What do you like about yours, what parts do you think your images are missing. Once you know that, you can move on to the next suggestion. If someone already posted links with guides how to achieve something, read them and if they're helpful apply it before asking. That saves everyone's time and you will get quicker results. Only if that fails, then ask for help. Don't ask for "help with suggestions to make it good". The bandwidth of suggestions can be very wide, for example to use a proper telescope mounted to your camera on a sturdy tripod. While this is a perfectly correct answer, it won't help yo at all. Also, this kind of questions gives the impression, that you want others to look how to improve your pictures so that you don't have to. It's a lot better to ask specific questions - for example what to do to prevent the moon being just a blurry blob. In your case, the moon seems to be a rather small feature of the image, which you had to crop heavily. It's also little over exposed. In the second image you also seem to be out of focus or is blurred because of the camera was shaking. Korman |

Shajin -
A little more technical information will help people help you. Are you using a tripod, what shutter speed and aperture are you using? One thing that many do not realize is the moon is actually moving quite rapidly, so shutter speed is one thing to pay attention to. In all of you photos the moon looks to be overexposed. Also you can search the net for information on photographing the moon and you will get quite a large number of opinions. Scott |
