Cold enough for you this morning Cedric? :P.
Great example of how the same subject can be completely transformed when approached from a different angle. Nicely exposed snow and slightly incongruous blue sky - did you use a blue filter on that one? I really like the contrast between the grey and the blue. The second one is good but doesn't hold the interest as much as the first (just my opinion). There also seems to be a streak or blob in shot nbr 2? Filter marks? Anyway, it's still annoyingly sunny on the NW coast of England. Everyone seems to be getting snow apart from me... :-\ |

-2C and snow showers all morning. I had to spend the 2 hours around sunrise getting in and out of my car to avoid the heaviest snow fall and protect my camera.
The only filters I used were an ND grad and a UV. I don't have a blue filter. That's how the sky was for short periods of time. I have other shots where you can see more of it, e.g.: Yes, there is a mark on the 2nd one. It could be something on the ND grad since snowflakes was falling on it all the time. Maybe melted snow. I agree that the 2nd one doesn't hold interest. I wasn't planing on doing anything with it, except keep it to remember how dark the sky was when a snow shower was coming. Then I looked at the photos and thought it was interesting to compare the 2 shots of the same place at 2 different angles. |

Hi Cedric, I like the first one the best. I like the contrast in the bench and snow that matches the contrast in the rocks and shorebreak. The warm upwellling light is a bonus, as well.

They're all great really. I envy you that you have such beautiful and dramatic landscapes on your doorstep. It really is an awesome landscape we have here in the UK and we should endeavour to capture it in all it's glory.
