Default Kansas Sunset

Heulin, Kansas.* My reward for driving nine miles on the curviest mudiest rode right after a massive snow melt.
I think it was worth the trouble.

Canon* 17 - 85mm IS lens.
Canon* EOS 20D

Nice shot...but I'm confused....my short visit through Kansas revealed no curves at all

Very nice, and worth the effort.

OHenry, in Kansas there are no horizontal curves. The roads can curve, but the land the road is on does not curve up or down.

Actually the road is between Elgin ( and old rail head town from cattle drive days and Heulin. The road is in the southern end of the Flint Hills andthe road does curve on the horizontal but has quite a few hills. They were quite muddy due to a big snow melt but thank God I have an SUV. Funny, I lived in Colorado twenty years and never had a 4WD or a snow blower. Moved to Oklahoma and got both. :P

Thanks for the comments...it IS good to be back posting again.

Darryl
