Default Piney Canyon

This is the canyon just below Piney Falls in the Vaily Valley, CO.* It's stiched together from 5 images.* It was a bit tough to stitch together because I took the shots without a tripod.* Instead, I tried to use the autofocus points aligned with a point in the scene to make sure that I was getting a proper overlap.* I had the most trouble stitching the sky with the tops of the trees.* As you can see, it's far from perfect there.* Anyone know of any good methods to do portions like this?

We miss the full impact of this photo on a monitor. I imagine it is a great print! Nice job.

We lived there for twenty years but that was before digital and computers and........

Really fine shot and job of stitching.....the drama of God's country is well portrayed!

Such fine resolution!

I would think that the sky and tops of the trees should be the easiest to stitch because of the contrast between them . From experience I have learned that if you take twice as many pictures as you need , overlapping by about 1/3 on each side , you are more likely to succeed . you can always delete pictures you don't need .
It is a nice picture anyway ...
