Hello

This morning, I wanted to get out and capture some fall colors. Unfortunately, with the fall, the fog is also coming back. So I tried to make some shots in the fog, here are my results:

And finally the fall colors I was looking for:

No 1 & No 4 are my favourites, probably because you got those autumn colours going on.

It is amazing how the fog creates a mysterious effect.......it has me wondering just what is in the shed in No2..............

The sched on no2 is a storage place for cut wood.

Dominique - very nice - a pleasure to look at - seems fog can be a blessing or a curse and I think you did really well in taking advantage of it. - Nice work

They are all nice shots Dominique, but 1 and 3 are my favorites. I like the fog in these.. not too much, but enough to give it that atmosphere.

I like the fog effect in the 1st two. You have enough room to play around with a bit more shadow contrast in the 1st. Nice job, good to see Fall color!

Thank you for all your comments. First I was not so happy to have such a fog, but I tried to do my best and I am pretty much satisfied with the results, but there is still room to improve.

How Are Ya !!

#1... Nice Composition for Vertical, working! Beautiful Scene.... ( Nit Pic ) The lighting on right side feels not Norm, appears a flash was used ?? No biggie, but kind of throws a natural feel... Might have been the sun?? but the tree seems to highlighted , compared to rest of frame...

#2 ... also Nice, love the natural saturation of woods... fog is great
#3... Personal Favorite of the series...Just a touch of lighting, good detail thru out, and hint of fog, just says early morn for me in the woods...
#4... A WELL DONE Classic Look.. Super Color and Detail!!

Well Done Series... Need to play in the Fog more often !!

Thank you Tom for the detailed comments.

I did not use any flash on the first photo and it surely was not direct sunlight. I was however not far from the upper level of the fog, so the front row of the trees might have gotten some diffused light.

You may be disappointed in the fog but boy, I am not!! You really brought those shots home. Wonderful captures. I sure hope you share more shots like these!

Sure I was disappointed by the fog. I wanted to get out of the fog into the sun. But the shots turned out better than expected. I will most probably try some foggy shots again (and share the result here).
