After seeing all the great waterfall shots lately from Tom and others I decided to do some waterfall hunting on Friday
I had the day off and all my friends were working, so it was just me and my camera gear and a bottle of water. Bushkill Falls is a located in Bushkill PA, just off route 209. It's a really awesome waterfall Park I guess you can call it, because there are over 10 waterfalls there. 1 is better than the other it's incredible!! Here are the 1st 4 images of this ongoing series. Lots more to come, but I've been really busy, so maybe more tomorrow or the next day. The next series will have some nice big waterfalls I promise! These wooden walkways were just to cool not to capture though ![]() The first three were taken at about 9:30am and it was still a bit of fog left in the Gorge. The last image was only a short while later, but the fog seemed to have lifted. The walkway in these shots is really cool looking. I especially love that first shot and the way the walkway disappears around the corner just above the falls. Just the right amount of silkiness in the falls for me. And the green really adds to the mood.

Wow Jay, these are outstanding!! Tell me they are HDR ?? What saturation of color and definition!!
Now this walkway , I could have used yesterday lol... and it is one designed to enhance a scene rather then distract... it just fits so well vs a chain link walkway... Nice to see Man uses his head when messing with mother nature for a change... These are all outstanding, and as for a Best in series for me , its gotta be #3.. Great angles of lines in this one, (Walkway ) and also the ( V ) shape of waterfall itself.. You are some Photographer!! |

Thanks for the comments everybody
I'm glad everybody likes that walkway as well!! They really did do a great job with it. Fits right in as you said Tom without being a hindrance on Gorgeous Mother nature!!These are not HDR images. I post all my HDR's in the HDR forum The conditions were perfect for shooting water! It was overcast so the dynamic range was all attainable with 1 click and photoshop. I did use the highlight and shadow tool to recover the sky on image 2 and 3 though ![]() #3 is my favorite as well for the Composition and depth, plus the branches up top seem to add another element the other 3 don't have. You all would Love this place!!! It's a photographers Dream A nice flat spot to set up the tri-pod with the best possible view of each waterfall!! I was also fortunate enough to get there on a week day when the park opened so it was desolate ![]() Thanks again all, and there is more to come! Best, Jay |
