I posted some pictures of the Middle North Falls in another thread, so I thought I'd post a few from North Falls (there's a Lower North Falls and a Upper North Falls but North and Middle are the best ones). North Falls is the first falls you run into after leaving the trail head and take the down stream trail. You have to go down a bunch of cement stairs then under some rocks where my backpack scapped if I had it on. You then go behind North Falls where it was worn out over the years. It makes for a nice cool place in the summer and gives a good view down stream.
This shot is a 3 shot panorama stitched together. Taken in the vertical position on my 10D and 24-70 2.8L lens. ![]() This is what the North Falls looks like from the side. The undercut under the rock is actually deeper and bigger than it looks from this vanatage point. ![]() Mike __________________

Awesome job, I especially like that first picture. I haven't been there in so long so it was lovely to see again. Thank you for posting it. You realize, I'm living through you right now...seeing places I haven't been able to get to for years.

Thanks Sara. I need to get back down there and get some more pictures now that the water levels are coming up again. I need to get some of the South Falls and a couple of others as well. In a lot of ways I like Silver Falls better than the falls in the Gorge because there are less people and you don't have to climb 400 to 700 feet right off the bat to get back to some of them. ![]() Mike __________________
