Default Buttermilk Falls off of Route 17A in New York

There's a little known falls just off of NY Route 17A between Greenwood Lake and Warwick. Nice place for some shots with its dam, falls and Pond. This will be only my second attempt at a posting here so here goes. It was a fun but over-cast day.

Takes me back to my misspent youth. Grew up not far from there.

My wife and I are both having a ball with learning photography and we drive all around that area and CT looking for anything and everything that looks interesting. My wife is a very good painter and that gives her an edge on me. Hopefully, I will get to post so of the Shots for Hight Point. That was a wonderful day!!!!!!! That should bring some memories flooding back for you!! Thanks for the reply!!

I like #1 a lot. Nice comp. crisp photo.
#2 looks soft (to me) Very nice colors and setting otherwise. All of those lines are playing tricks with my brain though. It looks tilted

Thanks for the feed back. Yes, number 2 is a little out. I was using my 75-300 without a tripod. Not to steady these days. So you can say that your are fine, I was out of wack.

If you are headed for Greenwood Lake on 17A this is in Bellvale. The road and Falls in directly across the road from Iron Forge Road and just back of Cascade. You are correct though, there is a big house just before the dam and a small house right by the falls itself. We've been back there a couple of time to shoot. Would love to get permission to cross the lawn at that small house so I could get down below the dam. The Falls and spill way are great going back toward Route 17A.

There are too many trees and branches in the way to get good shots of the falls and water coming down from the dam. Way to much work on PSP to Clone them out. I tried and ended up seeing double for a while or where those twins? You need a slight touch of the Amber Liquid to do the PSP Cloning (Smiles all around)!

Check out Cascade Road, there are some fun spots there as well!
