Default Lightpainting sunrise

I have been enjoying all the praise from my family and friends on facebook, but am now at a point where I (think) would like more critique to help grow as a photographer.

I look forward to your feedback!

This image was just before sunrise on Cape Cod a few weeks ago. I used my flashlight to paint in the foreground.

Shot with Canon T2i, 18mm
Processed in LR 4

for landscapes to get maximum out of a shot you will need a software which
offers working in layers and masking. photoshop element will do but photoshop
Cs is the king. many of us do hdr some do not like hdr and they prefer bracketing
the shot and then processing the shots in LR and then final processing in photoshop
to get image which has good details of both the highlights and shadows. if you want
minimum of pp i.e. you do not like to involve in post processing then one option is
to use GND filters.

Thanks, I don't have photo shop, but do have photomatix that I use for hdr. I've been doing a bit of faux hdr in light room, like this one.
