Default Rain...

Gidday all. We really need it badly down here... Aussieland is experiencing it's worst drought for over 100 yrs, since records have been kept anyway... Rolling into it's 6th consectutive year with no end in sight at this stage...

Most places have some sort of water restrictions, we here in South East Queensland move to level 4 this week (there are only 5 levels), we are all crossing our fingers for a good storm season ahead, it is when we get most of the rain.... Anyway a couple of pics, I usually only do portraits but after visiting our major dam I could not help but take some pics...

Where I took these from would usually be under 3 metres of water. The dam wall has dropped some 15 meters from its usual level...

What a tragedy, lack of water, not the images! I hope and pray you have a great rain season. I really like the 2nd.

Man, that looks dry! Makes me parched just looking at it. I hope for rain on your behalf.
Nice captures, and I agree with the others on #2.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the comments. We moved to level 4 yesterday, there is only one higher... Not looking good. Pictures really do not tell the story....

Hi All,

Long time since these were taken.... We got down to as low as 18% capacity, was looking very dire... Amazing how a couple of good soakings can change things... We are now above 60% again
