Default Where Reed Beds Sweep and Sway
A picture within a bigger picture is often to be seen beside pathways that follow creeks and rivers meandering through our town.
Backlighting illuminates the spear-like leaves of bright bamboo that fringe the banks of 5 mile creek as I take my early morning constitutional!

Handheld E-3 + Zuiko 50-200mm @ 1/125 @ f/7.1 @ iso250 @ 200mm (=400mm)

Hi Wolf ... thanks for the feedback.
I think this picture maybe has limited appeal - personally I just love bamboo, being of Irish/Chinese heritage it is probably the Asian that is responding!

My wife and I have been to Hong Kong a few times, Mark. There is a lot of bamboo around there and its just amazing how hardy that stuff is and how quickly it grows.

I've never been to Ireland or Hong Kong either, just the UK, Germany, Austria and the USA.

I have some bamboo growing in a pot by my front door. The pot is buried in the ground. Had I planted it free to propagate I would now be living in "the house of singin' bamboo".
