Default Painted Desert & Petrified Forest Natl Park...

It was difficult to choose some examples from all the keepers. The parks have endless opportunities. Just standing in one place, got many images. Move 10 feet to the left or right, and you have even more choices. Yet, many pull into the viewpoint, look out the window, and never see some of the greatest scenery. There are many side roads, people drive past, not realizing about 3 miles or so down the road are the most spectacular views.

Very nice series, Robert! You captured the terrain, colors, and features.

So many images in one post can be hard for the members with slow connections.

Of all complaints or criticism of my images, the ones about size, only came when they were smaller than 1000 pixels wide. None from many times when Ive posted 8-10 images.

Personally, when I'm interested in seeing images, prefer them as big as possible so that the detail shows, even when using Dial-Up.
