With digital I always missed being able to take double exposures . I have found a round-about way of doing them at night . From the top of Mount maunganui , New Zealand I tried some experiments with long exposures . Try setting the camera to iso 400 , minimum aperture and then a 30 second exposure with half the exposure time on full zoom [70mm] , a slow withdrawl to wide angle ,followed by the other half of the exposure time[18mm] and you have a small building burned into the big one . Nothing amazing but another avenue to explore when you lose inspiration .
Cheers , Desmond . __________________

Very Interesting picture. It looks a bit more like a long exposure to me than a double exposure but it still is a nice pic

It's a " Lubble " exposure , a long-double exposure , I did a similar one with the saltatwater hot pools at the base of the mountain which you can actually see to the right on top of another building . I kept the zoom constant and did a 20 second exposure with 10 seconds on the pool in the left corner of the picture , then moved the camera to the left so the pool moved to the other side and let it burn in there . If I had blocked the lens while moving the camera it would have looked like two pools next to each other .
I'll include a few more spaceship/laser pictures tonight ... __________________
