Tasmanian urban areas that are situated mainly on the coast rarely drop below freezing point in winter or get much above 35'C in summer. Rural areas in the midlands or far south do fall a tad below freezing overnight but warm up in daytime. Tasmania's climate can be described as temperate.

we do get a lot of rain, the photo was taken just outside a town called Macroom in Co.Cork.I was lucky, the clouds had just parted for a few minutes. and the rain came down a half hour later. |
