Default New here, first photo post

Hi, I'm new here! Been reading a lot on the forum but I haven't posted since I'm new to using forums and wasn't sure how to jump in. So correct me if I do anything wrong (gently!
Here's a snapshot from this year. It's my youngest daughter. C&C welcome keeping in mind that I'm totally new to photography and I'm not attempting to go pro. I'm just learning to use the fancy camera that was given to me.
Hopefully I'll learn to put some thought into composing quality images and get better at capturing the moments with family & friends. I really like the friendly but helpful posts that I've seen at Photo Camel and thought I'd join in!
About this photo -- again, just a snapshot of my girl; I wasn't trying to make a portrait. It was taken on the floor at home. I just have a digital DSLR, kit lens, and a 50mm 1.8 lens. I snapped a lot of photos trying the 50mm (which is above me; don't laugh but I'm just not ready to use it yet).

It's great to have you here, Sun. Thanks for sharing your thought and we look forward to seeing your work and photographic improvement alongside ours. We're all here to learn as well.

Now about this picture, I don't see one and not sure if it's just me?

Hmmm, I followed the instructions for attaching the image from a PhotoCamel gallery, but I must have done something wrong. The photo shows up in the thread for me, so I'm not sure how to fix this. Actually, I just had a thought ... I posted it from a Photo camel gallery that was set to private, but I thought it would show the picture if I posted the link in the thread. So sorry, please let me know if it is visible now (I reset the privacy) or if I should re-post with a different method. Thanks!!!

Not sure everyone is seeing it yet...I'm going to find out about posting from a Camel Gallery..I normally just upload the photo as an attachment..

EDIT -- I posted a question on the Mod board to get this resolved...Thanks for being patient...

I use the Camel gallery most of the time and just paste the content of the Linked Image field. It's more flexible than uploading as an attachment because you can post as many pics and can number or add text in between pics.
