Default 1st attempt at a composite image

Shot this yesterday, neither one of the boys wanted to cooperate so I thought I'd try a composite. Its BlueBonnet season here in Dallas and the wife had to have something.

Comments appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

JD

JD...Nice job!!! I really like it...I've been wanting to try a composite, but just haven't planned the shot right.

Did you add some sort of Texture to it, then mask some of it out?

Where is here? What type of spring flowers do you have there?

I didn't plan for this to be a composit. Wife wanted bluebonnet shots so I took the boys out. I didn't get any solid images since neither were in the mood. When I opened up the images and saw there really wasn't much there is when I went for the composit for practice.

There are about 25 layers in here total, but for texturizing purposes there are three pattern layers and one texture layer.

Thanks for the explanation JD...I gotta admit you did such a good job, if you didn't say anything I would have never known this was a composite!

Thanks! I hope with a little practice I can get better at it. I am going to try a more complex one next. Funny, we seem to have our own private conversation here lol

It's just because I hadn't got home from work yet to butt in and run my mouth. HAHA

I like it, JD. It always amazes me that bluebonnets seem to recognize Texas/Louisiana borders, because I hardly see any over here unless someone's made a point of planting them, but I can drive 1 hour west and the roadsides are full of them.

What?? No surfing while at work?? You should make a dash over this direction and shoot them while they are still in bloom!
