Hello! Just purchased a Nikon D80 couple weeks ago. I have a studio and have been shooting with a Nikon F100. I use 3 White Lightning lights. I enter the ISO, shutte speed into the meter and then take a reading of lights. I set the camera apperature and shoot. The problem is - the pictures look great on the camera monitor BUT when I download them onto the computer or take the memory card to be processed - the pictures come out at least +1 EV to dark. Now - just how are you supposed to judge the correct exposure without stopping your session and running into the office to download so you can see how they look?

Welcome to the Camel. This is a friendly and helpful place with photographers from all over the world. Regarding your problem, how is your brightness control set on your monitor? Sometimes we overlook what seems trivial. Other than that all I can tell you is to post your problem to the Lighting and Tecnique Forum and maybe someone there can help you.

Check your histogram instead of judging the image on the LCD, then set your LCD to the correct brightness.
