Default newbie

I posted this on the landscape thread as well but then I found out there is a minimum of 3 posts before posting images. I'm NO photographer, just a mom of a 3 yr old that bought a Canon Rebel xTi with my bonus money from work last year. When I learned how to photograph my *active* daughter I figured nature photography would be easy, but then I learned what's involved and it became somewhat of a hobby on the weekends. I live in Southern California and try to get out with my camera when I can, again just for fun! After seeing the AMAZING photos here I feel very humbled and don't even try to come close to the professionals here. I am still figuring out the manual settings and would LOVE feedback on how to get my photos sharper.

Carla, I travel thru Ventura County when I drive up to visit my poor mother at her home in Monticito in Santa Barbara county. I have a daughter too but she is an active 32 year old and does not live at our home any more . Her work has her living in the bay area. I just wish that there were something scenic in our area to take a worth while photo of.

Please don`t feel intimidated about posting your shots here. There are alot of very good photographers here that are willing to help you.

I`ve been given a lot of help by the good people here..

Thanks for the welcome goofup and thunderhawk, and thanks for the reply on my post.

whaas2, I know what you mean about finding something to photograph. I usually end up at the beach for that reason. Santa barbara has some nice hikes. I even heard of a waterfall in that area I have to check out when the rains stop.

Welcome aboard Carla . [From the UK]
Carla one of the best ways you can get feedback on on anything to do do with your photos is to post some
and with your request and permision people will edit your photos and explain what they did to improve things .
Hope this helps.
