Hi from Alabama

With hesitancy, after lurking for awhile I have decided to introduce myself. It seems that many in this community are professional photographers with a vast amount of knowledge which is quite daunting to me. I have been taking photos of just about anything that strikes my fancy for eons, but essentially, I am just a picture taker, not a photographer. That coupled with the fact that the only cameras I currently use are bridge cameras, makes me feel guilty that I probably will not be able to contribute much of value to this community, but instead will primarily be a lurker and learner. As such, I have already learned much of value and am sure will learn much more that will help me be a better picture taker. I did use an SLR before I switched to digital and would love to have a DSLR but simply cannot afford one, yet.

Welcome to PhotoCamal, Ceropegia. This site is as much for beginners as it is for veterans and pros. We all knew nothing at one point and some of us started with a cardboard box with a pinhole as a camera. Enjoy your learning here.
