Default Old barn on the prairie.

Farm building from the past. Image taken with my IR converted 5DIII, 590nm filter and a 24-105mm L IS II lens. Processing in Lightroom and Photoshop CC.

As usual, comments and questions are welcome.

The IR generated a very unique image! Im not sure I like how it looks so real but so washed out.. For someone that doesnt understand the process and equipment you used I fear would just presume your exposure was incorrect.

However, knowing the facts of the equipment, I find the image pretty stunning.

I hope I make sense and mean no disrespect, just speaking what is on my mind.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice image! I like the detail in it. It might convert well to B&W as well.

Andrew, thank you for your comments and you do make sense and no disrespect taken - I welcome all comments as I find I benefit from the perspective of others.

I went back and looked at the image and I tend to agree with you, so I went back and adjusted the Contrast, Shadows and Vibrance and produced an image that isn't quite as "washed out". Let me know what you think.

Rob, thanks for your kind comments. I tried it in Black and White. It looks okay, but, in this case, I prefer the false colour image - just different tastes.

Conversion was done in Nik's Silver Efex Pro 2.

You're right! After seeing both versions, I like the false color better with this image as well.

Nice image WG. I do prefer the second as well, the barn in the first one had to much yellow cast for me. I tend to agree the B/W didn't work as well for this shot. Well done.
