Default Alligator in IR

Went camping last week and on one of the walking trails I spotted this young man. I was carrying my IR camera so he offered to pose.

Interesting IR subject. A couple of questions: How big was this guy? What type of IR filter are you using on your D80 - 720nm?

thanks for commenting WG. The gator was about a 6 maybe 7 footer, I was on an elevated walking trail so I'm estimating his length. I don't think he would have let me measure him anyway . The D80 is a converted camera it has the 830nm filter installed in the sensor pack. I like it, but I am considering a higher resolution camera and the super color filter.

Thanks Jimmy - agree, it might have been tricky trying to measure him .
