are the photo's saved in the the same quality (eg jpeg fine hightest quality?)

Thanks Dirk,
The monitor is calibrated and the original is a raw then converted to a tiff in Lightroom also in Photoshop the tiff version is displayed. When pulling the image into Photoshop it gives me a check box on the color profile and I select to keep it. The web image is a jgeg which might be the difference in that which is very suddle compared to Lightroom.

i think so too. jpeg is almost the standard for internet , tiff is larger like .dng i always shoot raw +jpeg basic with the Nikons( D50 and D70) with the Canon it is just raw

sadly none of my compacts use raw..

Any chance that in photoshop you have proof colors under menu | view selected and under the menu proof setup some other color space?

When viewing images in Lightroom, it uses its own Color Profile that can't be changed (as far as I know). When it is transferred to PhotoShop, you can set PS to use whatever you like (sRGB, Adobe RGB, etc.). The web images that appear in your browser are not using a different color profile or color space than sRGB (unless you use FireFox and activate a secret config setting).

So, they will appear different if one or the other is using a different color profile. I'd say that in PhotoShop you have something other than sRGB set....

Read this whole thread....
sRGB VS RGB

Thank you for the input. I checked all of those and they seem to be right. I have a Huey for color calibration. Do you think it could be something with that?

Somehow I don't think its a calibration issue you can see a difference side-by-side and its evident on my monitor as well. There is a rendering difference somewhere between your two programs.
