Hi, For some reason my Adobe Camera Raw is automatically applying a Sharp contrast and putting sharpening up to 150 as soon as pictured are imported. I don't know what i clicked to make this happen or how to fix it. Upon import each file is automatically creating the XMP file.
Please help obi-camel-kenobi, You are my only hope! __________________

I don't remember for certain but I think you can change all settings to 0 for the default.

Open an image in Camera Raw, set the sharpening level to 0 (or another low value), save as Camera Raw defaults.

ohenry has the answer to adjusting the default sharpening settings.
The creation of an xmp file after editing an image in ACR is perfectly normal. That is where your ACR edits are stored, rather than in the raw file itself. Exception is when you convert raw images to dng format, where the ACR edits are stored directly in the raw (dng) file. |

thanks guys it worked perfectly i for the life of me could not remember where to find the button to click to restore defaults.
As for the xmp file. I have no problem with the edits being in there it was applying edits right upon import that was annoying me. Thanks again guys. K for all my helpers. |
