Default A New (and Strange) Problem in CS4

Hi all,

Here's one for the strange file.

I recently went to Win 7 on an upgraded machine. I installed CS4 and it did install bot 64 bit and 32 bit versions.

I'm using the 32 bit version a lot since I only have 4 MB RAM and it will rune some legacy filters that won't run in 64 bit (like Xeroset, which I love).

Now the issue: Some of the normal CS4 filters, ie Liquify are present in the 64 bit version but missing in the 32 bit version. Not grayed out, flat out gone. I tried copying the Liquify 8bf file from the 64 bit to the 32 bit Filters folder but no dice.

The Adobe help site is essentially useless so I'm coming here for suggestions. Anybody got one?

Thanks.

Off the cuff I'd say Win7 doesn't 'see' some 32-bit specific code.

So there was no Liquify.8bf in Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\Filters ? Copying the 64bit version wont work, as it is incompatable. That in itself is very odd if so. Leads me to believe that it might be an installation issue. Perhaps a uninstall/reinstall would work. Try just installing the 32bit version maybe as well? Honestly even tho I use a 64bit OS I use the 32bit version of CS4 because 64bit doesn't support many plugins that I use frequently.

Thanks guys.

The whole thing is a bit weird. Obviously, copying the 64 bit Liquify didn't work. Also, my first re-insatll didn't work either.

I've asked Adobe for some support help but I suspect they're gonna tell me to unistall/reinstall again. We'll see.
