Default sizing photos

I'm sure I could run some tests, but if someone has done this already I figure I don't need to reinvent the wheel. I'm thinking about discontinuing selling 4x6 prints, but until I do, does anyone know the proper sizing in ppi (resolution) and the size in pixels to set for a 4x6 & 5x7 so people can't scan and make larger prints. I've had some people just order a 4x6 of each proof and I think that's probably what they are doing.

Thanks, Karen

This is a tricky one, if you make the pic too low res it's going to look rubbish, if you make it half decent they will be able to scan it and probably get a fair print off that. About the only real advise I'd give is to put your name/logo on the front of print (might put off a copyshop) and point out the copyright issues with every order, (put it on the form somewhere maybe) textured paper can make it harder to copy as well.
At the end of the day if somebody really want's to copy a pic they will. Wayne

Mpix recommends 180 for 4 x 6 and 5 x 7. Results look fine to me.
