Cool photoshop 6

I noticed on amazon that there is photoshop 6(old version). There then must be a new version. What is the difference between the two versions?

There are several versions after 6. After 7, it went to Creative Suite, (version then CS 2( version 9), CS 3 (version 10) and now CS 4 (version 11). Each new version is, well, as all upgrades, refined, some new tools, etc....

Cool Re: photoshop 6

Thanks for your response...but I was interested in knowing the difference between the old version of photoshop 6 and the new version. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

That just means that PS6 is an older version of PS. As kenwae posted above, each version went up with a different #. That doesn't mean there is a older and newer version of PS6. I checked it out on Amazon and there is only 1 version of PS6. I hope that helps explain it.

Are we talking PhotoShop OR Photoshop Elements?

Photo shop 6 is with today's standards a bit like a car from the 70's if compared to respective modern versions.

Elements on the other hand... Version 6 is only 2 years old (or there about).
