I have read previous threads on the subject, but I just can't decide what I want. On the forums, it seems that a lot of people like huey, but on reviews on the actual sites to buy from, spyder has better reviews. Do all of them adjust your monitor according to the light in the room, in real time, like huey? Or maybe I read that wrong. I can spend up to 140ish on it, so I should be able to get something good. What about the Spyder2 Express? It seems a bit cheap in price, but I guess it's an option too. What would be the difference between that and the spyder3 pro? It's all so confusing to me, lol

I have the Spyder2 Express and it works OK on my laptop. The instructions say to prevent strong light from reflecting on the screen during calibration but you don't have to turn all the lights out. I would guess that the more expensive programs have more bells and whistles but I really can't compare them since S2E is the only program I have ever used. The cheaper version works fine for what I do.

Buy the best one you can afford. I've never used a Huey, so I can't comment, but it is the most affordable which is one reason many like it. The Spyder 2 was not very well reviewed and had some issues. The Spyder 3 seems to be an improvement over previous versions and seems to be a better choice. The EyeOne seems to get the best overall reviews.

Thanks, the more I look the more I think I'll just get spyder 3. It's a bit over my budget, but you get what you pay for I suppose.
