Is anyone using either Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 or ACD Systems ACDSee Pro v.8.1 to edit their images? I shoot only jpg's and I find that I can do the little bit of editing I need to do with these two programs much easier and more intuitive than with PS.

Depending on what you call a "little bit of editing" there is a plethora of editing apps that can do what you need, bernief.
And that is excluding online editing apps like Snipshot.com or Photoshop express! Have fun! |

Thank you Jacco for your list. It is very informative. As to what I mean by "the little bit of editing" is this: I make every attempt to get my settings for each shot I make as close as possible to what I want in the camera so as to avoid as much post as possible. My new Nikon D300 makes this possible better than anything I have used before. I use the ACDSee Pro first when needed to do any of the following- cropping, straitening, curves, levels, color adjustments, healing, cloning, noise reduction or red eye. I go to Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 for anything else that might be needed. I also use ACDSee Pro to organize all my images on my HD. I find that I can do any corrections needed more quickly and intuitively than with PhotoShop Elements 5.0 which I also have. So, I guess what ever works best for a photographer is the way to go. Photoshop, of course, is the industry standard and works for a lot of people. I just find that it is too much work for my needs.

I have both CPSPX2 and I have Elements 6. I think X2 is much easier to use but for certain plug ins and brushes I have to use E6. E6 can get pretty intimidating to me!
I, like you, try to get as many settings in camera to eliminate as much post processing as possible. Stephanie |

Thanks to all for your responses. For me it is interesting and helpful to me knowing what editing software other photographers use for post editing.
