This looks really cool so I downloaded the demo, but I can't figure out how to use it or where to find it...
![]() Can anyone help? Is this worth downloading the $169 version before May 8? I certainly can't afford $595 after that...right now the $169 would be impossible, Thanks for your help! Lori __________________

![]() Dear Elbee99 There are lot of Free Photoshop plugins are avialable on the internet. AS you have already D/L Lucis art please copy it in C:\programs\Adobe\version of Photoshop\effects directory manually if it does not install itself automatically.Gothrough the information on its site if any. Otherwise load an Image and then check filter. When you locate lucis art click apply the filter. Yaksha ![]() |

Lots of ways to skin a cat, but the Lucis Art deal has been a hot topic before with people trying to re-create it without the extra cost. Since Lucis has many "filters", a one stop shop solution is hard to find.
We did discuss using Adobe Lightroom to make a Lucis-like look. Lightroom offers many more benefits, but is not free. Lightroom is however worth the price, according to a lot of people (me included). You can check out the thread about Lucis in Lightroom here: Lucis Like in Lightroom? Also, you can rummage around in this board and find info on the Lightroom Beta 2.0 program. You can download and play with the beta version, and see if you like it and/or see if the Lucis-like thing does what you want. I would imagine from what little is spilled out, that it won't be too long and folks like Lucis will have their products running inside of Lightroom, since they released the programming environment to supporters... |

I used to see it alot in PPA Affiliated as well as non-affiliated print competitons. Usually, the effect is way overdone, which can kill your score as quickly as it can bring it up. Here's another using the sculpture filter in PS. This image was selected to the 2007 Loan Collection. |

To get the same look, you'll have to reverse engineer the image......tough to do. Personally, I think it's a steal for the price. Just a couple of mouse clicks creates the look. I've yet to see an identicle look created in PS, but I've seen a few come close. |
