Im wondering when saving files what do most people save the final copy as...PSD, TIFF, JPEG? Ive been saving my final versions as PSD but dont know the protocall when going to get print done. Would love to hear how you all do your image saving?

I keep a "master" copy - full res, 16 bpc, uncropped, all major processing completed - as a PSD. For print or web, I resize to the desired dimensions and save as a tiff or jpeg, depending on the requirements. I'll keep these for a while, but when the masters are archived after a few months, I discard all the redundant copies. That way I can keep the raw and a finished version together and don't have to keep track of all the rest of the copies.

Naturally I always archive the raw file, usually as DNG to avoid the trouble of keeping track of the sidecar (xmp) files. If I have done any significant editing in PS I save a PSD of those edits. Then convert this as needed to jpeg for web or printing but these are usually discarded before archiving.
